Ray was a young veterinarian with a heart condition. Due to the heart condition he had been told that one day he might simply not wake up. Additionally he had been told if he made it to adulthood it was a miracle. While working with the senior veterinarian Ray was taken by aliens. What do the aliens want with him and can they help him with his heart condition. How will his time with the aliens impact on his life and future?
Flitter is a Liraque who was sent on the cruise, as a contract Liraque, by her mentor. Her mentor did not tell her why she was sent on the cruise, only that it would provide something she needed. Flitter is an older Liraque and is nearing an age where she would be ready for retiring. How will the cruise change her life?
When Ray was brought to the ship Flitter was contacted to see if she could work with him as his Liraque assuming he accepted. Will he accept and if so how will dealing with a human impact on her. Will she find they can't work together, simply be friends, or possibly more? Only time will tell for the two people.
