โฆ Synopsis
This presentation has two basic purposes: (1) to examine the status of research in counseling (and psychotherapy) in relation to the question, 'Does Counseling Work?' and (2) to examine the research on the preparation of counselors with respect to determining the effectiveness of counselor education. Conclusions provided suggest future actions which could improve the quality of research studies pertinent to counseling and to counselor education.
