โฆ Synopsis
Fifty consecutive psychogeriatric clinic attenders were studied to establish the ability of doctors and patientkarers to give an accurate medication history at clinic appointments. Patientlcarers were unable to give accurate accounts of prescribed medication in 62% of cases, the clinic doctor in 62% and the general practitioner in 67%. The implications of this failure to convey information related to current medications and methods of improving this situation are discussed.
