โœฆ Synopsis

extensive insulation used in conventional SOFCs, and eliminates the need for catalysts. All these features indicate a reduced cost, and a positive future impact on the fuel cell market.

The thin-film SOFCs are about 1 ยตm thick with an output of 0.8-0.9 V; a 660 cm 3 stack would produce more than 5 kWe. They have an operating efficiency of about 65%.
