Ceres Power recently entered into a ยฃ2.7m (US$4.7m) contract with Centrica (trading as British Gas), part-funded by the DTI, to develop combined heat and power (CHP) units for the UK residential market. The program will cover the design, build and evaluation of fuel cell CHP units, delivering electricity, heating and hot water, and substantially reducing both energy bills and CO 2 emissions [FCB, May].
