✦ Synopsis
The doubl y l abel ed water technique for determination of the rate of total energy expenditure i n human subjects is based on measurement of the differential rates of di sappearance of ' H and '"0 from body water following oral administration of ' H?' XO. Two calculation procedures, the "two-point" and "slope-intercept" methods of calculation have previously been validated for use i n humans. We describe here a computer program, DLW, that provides options to calculate doubl y l abel ed water data i n each of these accepted ways.
