✦ Synopsis
WARNING: This work quotes from many heretical (Protestant) bible translations, esp. the RSV-CE, which laughably translates Lk. 1:35 as: “How can this be, since I have no husband?” instead of the correct: "How can this be, for I know not man?" Our Lady was married when she asked this!
It is a good antidote to the false mercy, antinomianism, and OT-denying neo-Albigensianism so rampant today (esp. in the Bergoglian Conciliar Church; on this terminology cf. ref:29.27 of De Mattei)
We need more St. Vincent Ferrer "Angel of Judgment" (Apoc. 8:13; Kramer ref:26.80) preaching today!
Jesse Romero (p. iii) wrote the longest testimonial. 👍
The 10 plagues on the Egyptians correspond to violations of each of the 10 Commandments.
Know, moreover, that Divine Justice releases terrible chastisements on entire nations not only for the sins of the people, but especially for those of priests and religious persons. For the latter are called by the perfection of their state to be the salt of the earth, the masters of truth, and the shields to hold back Divine Ire.
Straying from their sublime mission, they degrade themselves in such a way that before the eyes of God, they increase the rigor of the punishments. When they detach themselves from Me, they end up living a superficial life of soul, maintaining a distance from Me unworthy of My ministers. By their frigidity and lack of confidence, they act as if I were a stranger to them.
—Fr. Manuel Sousa Pereira, The Admirable Life of Madre Mariana de Jesus Torres vol. 2, p. 280
I'm surprised ch. 9 "The Sword" (pp. 108 ff., PDF pp. 125 ff) didn't mention how civil authorities, too, justly use a sword for punishment Rom. 13:14 ("For he is God's minister to thee, for good. But if thou do that which is evil, fear: for he beareth not the sword in vain. For he is God's minister: an avenger to execute wrath upon him that doth evil.")
pp. 123-4 (PDF pp. 140-1) are good Scriptural arguments that children includes both born and unborn, and killing them is murder: ben ("child", unborn or born, even adult) in Gen. 25:22 ("the children [Isaac & Esau] struggled in her [Rebecca's] womb"), and βρέφος in Lk. 18:15 ("And they brought unto him also [born] infants") and Lk. 1:41 ("the [unborn] infant leaped in her womb").
p. 132 (PDF p. 149) cites Leviticus 20:1-5, which condemns child sacrifice to Moloch with capital punishment and doubly-enforces this law by punishing even those who fail to capitally punish the murderers themselves.
p. 204 (PDF p. 220) quotes Isaias 59:1-3,6-7 and 1:12-14 regarding how child killing hinders prayer. p. 209 (PDF p. ): " Imagine God sending a prophet to the great churches of today, saying: 'What is the multitude of your services? I'm weary of singing and preaching and liturgy—your hands are covered with blood. Seek justice, correct oppression, rescue babies.' "
Publisher's word is way off: 🇺🇸's constitution "the only government document in world history that is a creedal statement of Bible-based ideals" (p. 284, PDF p. 296). This savors of the Americanist heresy and America-only-ism, -exceptionalism, or nationalism (State-worship)! Has he not heard of Spain's glorious pre-Vatican II constitution?
Divine Correction: How God Gets a Nation's Attention is a comprehensive study of the chastisements God brings on individuals, families, clans and nations in this world, in this life.
The primary focus is on nations and the sins committed in those nations, often with the approval, and even promotion of their governments.
Sacred Scriptures, as well as the teachings of the historic Church, demonstrate why nations come under divine correction — i.e., because their "sins cry to God for vengeance." Sacred Scriptures also explain the means God uses to bring correction to nations. These divine corrections are threatened in the Sacred Scriptures, recorded throughout the Sacred Scriptures, and attested to the annals of human history since the Scriptures were canonized.
The sufferings and convulsions that nations have endured throughout history were often the chastening of God, used to call nations to repentance and back to Himself.
Divine Correction is a comprehensive study on how God has judges nations in the Sacred Scriptures and the reality of that aspect of God for us today. This is a must read for every Christian to understand as a people why we are going through what we are going through.
Randall Terry has spent decades seeking to protect the lives of the unborn from the deathly assault of bad laws and bad choices that threaten to tear down God’s pinnacle of creation. How have the sins of abortion and other offenses against God arising from a culture of death affected nations? From the pen of this veteran pro-life warrior comes the final word on the judgment of God. All nations, citizens, and leaders should be concerned about the chastenings God has at His disposal, particularly as we see a worldwide move away from His precepts and principles, leaving nations vulnerable to His correction. God is not neutral toward our sins—He must act. How does He act? What rouses His wrath? How can we mitigate His judgments? These and many more questions, bolstered by copious Scripture proofs, will be answered in this timely and timeless book. We must learn or reap what we have sown.
Abraham Lincoln, in his trademark brevity, once said, “If slavery isn’t wrong, nothing is.” Randall Terry stands as an outspoken reminder in our day that if sins that cry for vengeance aren’t wrong, nothing is. And like Lincoln and the prophets of Israel, he is hated by many for it. But the prophets are called and equipped to speak truth regardless of the consequences.

We are living through a perfect cultural storm of wickedness, forgetfulness, foolishness, shallowness, and pridefulness. In this sobering, substantive, must-read book, Randall Terry reminds us all that God is not mocked. We will reap what we have sown. Our longsuffering, righteous, and altogether gracious God will most assuredly bring us to the bar of justice. Lord, have mercy. Church, have courage.

The ancient Prophet Hosea wrote, “Set a trumpet to your mouth.” Randy Terry has written a prophetic message on “Divine Correction” to the Church in the style of Hosea. He has put the trumpet of God’s Word in terms we can understand in today’s culture. Randy clears the fog of compromise away from the “sins that cry for vengeance.” His forty years of standing for truth have given him the experience to reinforce this urgent message. Read at the risk of becoming a radical world changer.
— Rev. Paul Johansson, President Emeritus, Elim Bible Institute and College,
