โฆ Synopsis
Case records of 11 women with eating disorders who had children were examined to determine the prevalence of recorded disturbances in their children. In nine children of six mothers, disturbances that fell into three categories were documented. Some mothers had disturbed perceptions of their children, including the belief that the child was fat or greedy. Some children displayed unusual behaviour such as simulated vomiting and periodic overeating. Lastly atypical attitudes among the children were recorded, including concern about their mother's thinness.
