โœฆ Synopsis

The dietribution of excited iitonis and ions in n plasma generated a t the surface of ferroelectric ceramic hns been studied. For all studied spectral lines of He I , Ar I, Ar I1 and hydrogen a dccrease of the total line intensity with the increasing distance from the ceramic surface has been found. The shapes of these distributions are chnrackristic of the specific spectral lines. The distributions for He I lines depend strong on the concentration of argon in the helium-argon mixture. The effect of overpopulation of some excited Ar I1 ion levels in an argon discharge observed already in a previous work has been found tilso in the case of a helium-argon plasma.

The temperature and electron density distributions in a helium plasma produced near ceramic surfaces at atmospheric pressure have been studied. The determination of these plasma parameters is based on spatial resolved line intensity measurements.
