✦ Synopsis
The influence of the geometry of the bolometer on the recorded shape of a second-sound signal in a one-dimensional channel was investigated. It appears that, depending on the geometry of the bolometer, the incoming simple positive pulse can generate secondary effects leading to the appearance of a temperature undershoot. The geometrical effects can be of the same order of magnitude as the true signal. A new type of second-sound probe is presented which avoids this unwanted transformation of the incoming signal.
