✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A modified BIRD pulse, called the DODO pulse, was developed and incorporated into one version of the FLOCK sequence. Addition of the two‐dimensional spectra obtained with this modified sequence and with the unmodified FLOCK sequence produces a normal indirectly bonded ^13^C^1^H shift correlation spectrum. Subtraction of one spectrum from the other generates a difference spectrum which allows a clear distinction between two‐bond and three‐bond ^13^C^1^H connectivities among protonated carbons.
