✦ Synopsis

This paper deals with epimorphisms between arbitrary projective Klingenberg planes which preserve the non-neighbor relation. Our main result is an algebraic characterization of such epimorphisms which generalizes a theorem of F. D. Veldkamp for distant preserving epimorphisms between projective ring planes.
