## Abstract Tenebrionid beetle larvae survive prolonged dehydration as well as rapid water vapor intake without exchanging solutes with their environments. Tissue water is partially regulated at the expense of the hemolymph. This presumably optimum sharing of water is brought about by the mobilizat
