✦ Synopsis

Formation of halogen ncgatlvc ions by dissociative electron artachmen~ on the halobenzencs C,HsBr. GHsCI and C,HsF is studied as a function of incident electron energy up to 7.5 eV by mass specuometry. The threshold energies for Cl-and Brprovide a determination of the fmt electron allimties for CsHsCI and C,HsSr. The absolute cross section for Ci-lormalion from C,H,CI was alx, measured_

Experimental studies of the ion yield of the reaction e-+ CF3Cl+CF,Cl-+CF3+ Cl-at low energies, E= O-8 eV and temperatures, T= 300-800 K, yield three effects: (A) A threshold peak, hardly noticeable at 300 K, becomes dominant for T> 700 K. (B) The first apparant (shape) resonance of the precursor io
