Numerical values for the following displacements in a closed ring subject to diametral external loads are derived by an application of the general solution of plane elasticity:

1. Radial displacement at the ends of an external diameter which is perpendicular to the direction of the applied loads;

2. Radial displacement at the ends of an internal diameter which is perpendicular to the direction of the applied loads;

3. Radial displacement at the ends of an internal diameter which is parallel to the direction of the applied loads.
