Abstract
The dispersion properties of silicaβbased photonic crystal fibers (PCFs) are analyzed to obtain: (i) zero dispersion at any wavelength, (ii) nearly zero ultraflattened dispersion, and (iii) a very high negative chromatic dispersion for various designs of PCFs. The influence of normalized air hole size on zero dispersion wavelength is also reported. Β© 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract Based on the modified dual core structure, three kinds of special photonic crystal fibers are presented, which are extremely large negative dispersion, superβbroad band, and large area mode field dispersionβcompensating photonic crystal fibers (DCPCF). For extremely large negative dispe
