The influence of hydrodynamic dispersion on thermal convection in a vertical Hele-Shaw cell is studied theoretically. The supercritical, steady roll motion, the heat transport and the stability of the motion are investigated. The dispersion effects are found to be small, but qualitatively different from the corresponding effects in porous convection.
