β¦ Synopsis
I should like to make some general remarks about the papers dealing with the optimization of reaction conditions. The general method is to assume the reaction kinetics to be known and the reaction conditions to be of some idealized type, such as ideal piston flow, ideal mixing, isothermal or adiabatic conditions, and then to set up the diierential equations and boundary conditionsand determine the mathematical condition which optimizes some property of the reaction system. out in a staggering short time. However, if one is going to try that for a given example, one will only realize the more the fundamental lack of basic data, necessary for making these computations.
