โœฆ Synopsis

A new class of pathway-selective high-resolution gradient NMR experiments is introduced, in which the spatial evolution due to the magnetic field gradient is employed to discretely spatially modulate the pulse sequence as seen by the spins. For multiple quantum filtered experiments this approach retains the full sensitivity of the phase-cycled analogs while at the same time benefiting from the gradients increased dynamic range and reduced experiment times.

A method for detecting small molecule NMR resonances under a water peak in biological samples is presented. After high-efficiency solvent suppression using double WATERGATE, either a TOCSYor ROESY-based coherence transfer sequence is applied to reestablish the resonances close to, or under, water th

The present period is one of rapid development and major extension of the technology for high resolution and solid state NMR spectrometer magnets. Programs which have already been initiated have as their objective proton frequencies of 1 GHz and greater, eventually requiring HTS superconductors. The
