## Abstract Transmission line matrix (TLM) method is a very effective time domain method, which has been used for solving various electromagnetic problems including waveguide structures. In this study, the transient response of a rectangular waveguide is analyzed by using TLM algorithm which is als

Abstract
We describe the efficient and accurate numerical solution of propagation problems in composite and dualβcomposite right/leftβhanded metamaterials using a discrete diffraction formula based on lattice Green's functions. For both metamaterials and for physically realizable parameters, we find that the observed diffraction patterns depend strongly on the temporal input frequency. Β© 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this work, the effects of varying the series capacitance in metamaterial transmission lines consisting on a microstrip line loaded with complementary split rings resonators (CSRRs) and series capacitors are analyzed in detail. It is found that by varying the series capacitance, the t
## Abstract Dispersion in periodic microstrip transmission lines was investigated by using Sβparameters to calculate the characteristic impedance and the complex propagation constant. Dispersion curves determined from a variety of methods, including simulation with IE3D and measurement with a netwo
We study the problem of properly learning unions of two axis-parallel rectangles over the domain [0, n&1] 2 in the on-line model with equivalence queries. When only O(log n) equivalence queries are allowed, this problem is one of the five interesting open problems proposed by W. Maass and G. Tura n
## Abstract This study suggested a numerical model using the Tabu search algorithm along with the Adjoint State method to identify the hydrogeological characteristics of an anisotropic groundwater aquifer. The Tabu search algorithm was applied to identify the anisotropic transmissivity components t
The dissolution of a disk-like Al 2 Cu particle is considered. A characteristic property is that initially the particle has a nonsmooth boundary. The mathematical model of this dissolution process contains a description of the particle interface, of which the position varies in time. Such a model is
