Abstract
Scenarios such as the string landscape present the possibility of having various first order transitions during the evolution of the early Universe, specifically during inflation. The gravitational waves emitted from the physical processes related to these first order phase transitions carry clear information regarding the physics that produced them. We study the features of the waves and find that they differ both from those of waves generated via quantum oscillations of the metric in vacuum and both from those of waves sourced by transitions occurring outside inflation. We also investigate the detectability of the waves.
