✦ Synopsis

This article addresses various problems regarding to the design of nonsymmetrical directional couplers loaded by a ferrite slab. First, some aspects of nonsymmetrical couplers are discussed. Thereafter, ideas for the realization of such devices using the dielectric image-line (I-line) technique will be introduced. Finally, the capability of these devices is shown by several numerical and experimental results.
