Abstract
In this article, we presented a new direct time domain solution for three‐dimensional arbitrarily shaped dielectric structures. To solve the time domain electric field integral equation (EFIE), a central differencing scheme is used to evaluate the time derivatives of the potential functions. The solution method is based on the method of moments (MoM) and marching‐on‐in‐time (MOT) technique. An implicit method with the time derivative evaluated by central difference is described to solve the EFIE, and the detailed mathematical procedures are included along with representative numerical results. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
