The excited-sure dynamics 01 a 2-hydrolryphenylbenzorriazDle (HPB) pholostabilizer copolymerized wilh polystyrene are reported. HPB fluorescence rrom these copolymer films is observed at = 630 nm. characteristic of the proton-transrerred excited state of HP@. and il has a risetime of c 10 ps and a decay time 0128 _C4 ps at room temperature. Measurement 01 the relative fluorescence quantum yield as a function or temperature gives the activation energy for non-radiative decay or this sm~e LO be E/he= 259f25 cm-'.
