✦ Synopsis

In this work we present direct measurements of the anisotropic optical absorption of YBa2 Cu40s. By measuring the photon energy dependent response of a composite bclometer with the sample as absorber and its comparison with the characteristics of a known bolometer we a~e able to deduce the absorptivity (and thus also the reflectance) of the investigated sample extremely accurately.
