✦ Synopsis
We have measured the three hyperfme components of the spin-orbit spht ("P,,, -2P,,) ground state m atomtc $luorine by d&e laser absorption spectroscopy. The measurement improves the accuracy of the two lmes prevrously reported (404.175 and 403969 cm-'), wrth the thud line at 404.210 cm-'. This eonfirms the spacmg of the hyperfie components measured by EPR, and estabbshes diode laser absorption as a viable techmquc for delermimng F-atom concentrattons
