✦ Synopsis
The redetermination of the structure of the title compound, K 2 CO 3 Á1.5H 2 O, agrees with the results previously reported by Hunter & Jeffrey [J. Chem. Phys (1967), 47, 3297±3302], but with improved precision. The structure is described in terms of the hydrogen-bonding network and the K±O framework, and the CÐO bond lengths are compared with those found in other reported alkali carbonate hydrates.
