The catechol amines are rather insoluble in most organic .solvents and are, furthermore, firmly adsorbed 011 the low-loaded columns used in this work. Epinephrine and levarterenol were, therefore, converted to the triacetyl derivatives by treatment of an aqueous solution with acetic anhydride and so
