โฆ Synopsis
Diode laser spectroscopy of lithium chloride in the gas phase (SSOOC) has been carried out in the region 62 I to 693 cm-'.
Transitions of three isotopic combinations of lithium chloride ('Li%l, 'Li"C1 and 6Li35CI) have been measured with a nominal accuracy of fO.OO1 cm-'. The results were combined with existing microwave data and fitted to the usual Dunham equation to produce accurate values of the pure vibrational parameters ( Y ,,,,Y,,,etc.) and a number of high-order parameters.

The general electrochemical hehaviour is found to most closely approximate to that of the major component, nickel, although expansion of the current sca
