โœฆ Synopsis

Diode laser spectroscopy of lithium chloride in the gas phase (SSOOC) has been carried out in the region 62 I to 693 cm-'.

Transitions of three isotopic combinations of lithium chloride ('Li%l, 'Li"C1 and 6Li35CI) have been measured with a nominal accuracy of fO.OO1 cm-'. The results were combined with existing microwave data and fitted to the usual Dunham equation to produce accurate values of the pure vibrational parameters ( Y ,,,,Y,,,etc.) and a number of high-order parameters.

Using a tunable diode-laser spectrometer, we have measured N 2 -broadening coefficients of 87 individual rovibrational lines in the P and R branches of the ฮฝ 3 band of methyl chloride (CH 3 35 Cl) at 203.2 K. These lines with J values ranging from 2 to 22 and K from 0 to 6 are located in the range

The electrochemistry of Monel400 in 1 mole/kg-' LiOH solution at 25, 125 and 250ยฐC has been investigated using the technique of cyclic voltammetry. The general electrochemical hehaviour is found to most closely approximate to that of the major component, nickel, although expansion of the current sca
