✦ Synopsis
High-resolution spectra of acetylene have been measured in the region between 11640 and (11850 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}) with a GaAs diode laser spectrometer. About 340 spectral lines assigned to the transitions in five bands (\left(2 v_{1}+\nu_{2}+v_{3}\right.) of ({ }^{12} \mathrm{C}{2} \mathrm{H}{2}) and ({ }^{12} \mathrm{C}^{13} \mathrm{CH}{2}), and (2 \nu{1}+\nu_{2}+v_{3}+\nu_{4}^{1}-\nu_{4}^{\prime}, 2 \nu_{1}) (+\nu_{2}+\nu_{3}+\nu_{5}^{\prime}-\nu_{5}^{\prime}), and (3 \nu_{1}+\nu_{2}+\nu_{4}^{\prime}-\nu_{5}^{\prime}) of ({ }^{\prime \prime} \mathrm{C}{2} \mathrm{H}{2}) ) have been analyzed to determine spectroscopic constants for the upper vibrational states. ce 1993 Academic Press. The infrared diode laser spectrum of the n 2 / n 5 0 n 2 hot band of acetylene has been observed within the discharge plasma of acetylene diluted in He. The concentration of acetylene in the n 2 state was modulated by applying a few kHz of ac current, and the spectrum of the hot band was recorded se
