โฆ Synopsis
Cryogenic thermometry has significantly changed within the last ten years due to the introduction of several new cryogenic temperature sensors. The result is that, perhaps for the first time, more than one type of thermometer can be considered for most applications. This paper concentrates on two types of thermometry: resistance and diode. These appear to cover the major interest for many cryogenic applications. Those interested in other types of thermometry or special thermometry are referred to the paper by Rubin, 1 'Temperature, its measurement and control in science and industry', Vol 4, 2 and 'Cryogenic temperature measuring devices and their applications'. 3
