β¦ Synopsis
The first example of dimeric Mn(IlI)-tetraarylporphyrins able to catalyze olefin epoxidation is reported. In the presence of one equivalent of lipophilic bidentate ligand 3 the efficiency of some of these catalysts is among the highest reported to now in 30% H&-promoted epoxidation (up to 1500 overall catalytic cycles). Slightly better results were obtained replacing 3 with two equivalents of N-hexylimidazole 10.
