Almract--Adiabatic compressibility measurements of solutions of bisphenol A polycarbonate in a number of different solvents, including a 0-mixture, have been carried out. The results were used to estimate the number of solvent molecules solvating each repeat unit of the polymer. Tentative mechanisms of solvation have been suggested for both acidic and basic solvents.
