Dilithium selenate hydrate, Li 2 SeO 4 ÁH 2 O, is con®rmed to be isostructural with its sulfate analogue. It consists of a polar arrangement of LiO 4 , LiO 3 (H 2 O), and SeO 4 tetrahedra [d av (LiÐO) = 1.953 (8) A Ê and d av (SeÐO) = 1.630 (3) A Ê ], sharing vertices by way of LiÐOÐLi and LiÐOÐSe bonds.
