Visnadin, a lactone derived from bishop's weed, has been found to have marked antidotal properties i n animals poisoned with digitoxin. It increases survival o n acute and chronic administration of the glycoside, prevenfs the appearance of bradycardia, and reverses cardiac arrhythmias.
