โœฆ Synopsis

Drag racing is a very popular spectator sport in the US in which two high performance automobiles race side-by-side, from a standing start, for a 402 m (~A mile) distance. The first vehicle to complete the distance wins the race. A digital computer simulation was developed in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University which predicts the performance of a dynamically modelled drag racing vehicle.
