โœฆ Synopsis

This paper presents a digital computer programme in Fortran Language, for the determination of the thermal frequency response characteristics i.e. amplitude decrement and phase lag, of building sections. Matrix method has been employed, as it has the advantage of being easily adaptable to high speed Digital Computation. This programme needs only the basic thermophysical properties (K,p,s) of building materials and the thickness of the layers as input data. The programme is quite flexible so that composite sections of any number of layers and frequency response characteristics for any desired number of harmonics can easily be handled. Typical data for a few homogeneous and composite sections, obtained by 1BM 1620 Digital Computer are presented.
