While magnet arrangements of this type are not new, the novelty of this device stems from its small size and low cost. The cylindrical sensor is only 3 cm in diameter and 1.5 cm thick, and the cost of the magnets, coil and capacitors totals about $10-15. Measurements of relaxation times and moisture content of curing concrete will be presented, along with other examples of the applicability of this sensor. It is expected that the low cost and extreme portability of this sensor will expand the applicability of NMR in many industrial and research applications.
