Results are presented of a numerical solution of the partial differential equation that describes the relative displacement of two oppositely charged ions in a dielectric liquid due to both the mutual field and the diffusion. For various initial separations the probability that an ion pair has a certain separation, a.r_well as the probability that it has not recombined is calculated as a funr:ion of time.
