✦ Synopsis

We report new measurements ofEPR spin relaxation times TV and T2 for H atoms in hexagonal ice at -6 "C. We find T, = 23 f 3 ps, and T2= 6.9 k I .O ps at this temperature, in good agreement with expectation based on previous experiments. Motional correlation times have been calculated from these values and from previous T2 measurements for H and D atoms in isotopically mixed ice. The hopping rate deduced -2.8 x lOlo s-' near the crystal melting point, implies a diffusion rate of H atoms in ice nearly as fast as occurs in liquid water.

## Abstract A previously developed model for active species concentration profiles in infinite cylindrical systems has been extended to include the spherical system. The model couples the processes of diffusion to and reaction at the wall. Predictions of time buildup under conditions of homogeneous
