β¦ Synopsis
Internal diffusion controlled ion exchange rate data for both forward and reverse exchanges of the Sr2+-Na+-DOWEX 5OW-X8 system are reported. Observations on the self exchange rates for Sra+ and Na+ ions are also presented. Interpretation of the rate data with both a Fick's law model and a Nernst-Planck model was accomolished. A modification to the more theoretically correct _ Nernst-Planck model has been proposed.
