A newborn infant with a large hepatic hemangioma developed congestive heart failure, consumption coagulopathy, microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, and obstructive jaundice. The patient was mildly heparinized (250 units per kg and day) and underwent successful resection of the tumor without lobectomy
