We establish a system of difference-differential equations describing the diffraction of light by two mutually perpendicular supersonic waves. When the two supersonics have intensities of the same order of magnitude, we prove that the integration of these equations is reduced to the integration of t

โฆ Synopsis
The study reported here was concerned with the diffraction pattern of a diffracted light beam caused by two adjacent parallel ultrasonic waves, showing a phase-difference 6 and having equal wavelengths but different widths and pressures. In the case where the wavelength parameter, p, is very small, the diffraction pattern is similar to the one obtained in the diffraction of light by superposed ultrasonic beams. In the case p > 1 no similarity is found. With 6 = 180 ~ numerical calculations are performed for the intensities of the orders +1, in order to give some graphical representations.

## Synopsis Referring to our previous paper, we deduce solutions in the form of a series of Bessel functions for the systems of difference-differential equations, appearing there. After giving rigorous relations between the coefficients we are able to give explicit expressions for the intensities
