identifies pore boundaries as minima in hydraulic radius. The change in pore volume, surface area and shape were all quantified as a function of the compression extent. Such structural characterisation was also performed as a function of height in the compression direction. Finally, the porescale flow field through the foam was simulated using the Lattice Boltzmann technique (e.g., Ref. [3]). This compared favourably to the acquired experimental velocity images.
