## Abstract Members of the epidermal growth factor receptor family of receptor tyrosine kinases play a critical role in both development and oncogenesis. The latter is suggested by the frequent overexpression of HERβ2, EGFR, and HERβ3 in some human carcinomas, primarily breast and squamous cancer.

## Abstract Pancreatic AR42J cells have the feature of pluripotency of the precursor cells of the gut endoderm. Betacellulin (BTC) and activin A (Act) convert them into insulinβsecreting cells. Using mRNA differential display techniques, we have identified a novel mitochondrial transporter, which i
## Abstract In vertebrates, there are six or more copies of genes related to the __Drosophila__ pattern formation homeodomain gene Distalβless. Among this family, __Dlx__3 and __Dlx__5 share extensive sequence homology and have similar, but distinctive, expression patterns, suggesting that these tw
## Abstract The 14β3β3 proteins exist predominantly in the brain and may play regulatory roles in cellular processes of growth, differentiation, survival, and apoptosis. The biological functions, however, of the various 14β3β3 isoforms (Ξ², Ο΅, Ξ·, Ξ³, and ΞΆ) in the brain remain unclear. We have report
## Abstract PC3^TIS21/BTG2^ is the founding member of a family of genes endowed with antiproliferative properties, namely BTG1, ANA/BTG3, PC3B, TOB, and TOB2. PC3 was originally isolated as a gene induced by nerve growth factor during neuronal differentiation of rat PC12 cells, or by TPA in NIH3T3
