## Abstract A triangular plate bending hybrid element is constructed according to Reissner's principle. It has 9 degreesβofβfreedom and the shear effect is included. The __C__^0^ formulation of thick plate is directly developed to solve the thin plate by imposing the discrete Kirchhoff constraints.
