The effect of diazepam (1 mg/kg bodyweight) on flight and defense behavior has been studied in 14 feral cats. Defense behavior is reduced while there is no reduction in the flight behavior at this dosage level. The possible selectivity of this drug for particular limbie structures is discussed.
