✦ Synopsis

The title compound, C 34 H 28 N 4 O 10 Á2C 3 H 7 NO, was synthesized by the reaction of ethyl 2-cyano-3-(3-nitrophenyl)-1-acrylate and 1,5-naphthalenediol in the presence of KF-Al 2 O 3 in refluxing ethanol. The structure is centrosymmetric and the fused pyran ring adopts a boat conformation.
