When offered a solution of d-amphetamine sulphate (0.025 mg/ml) in place of water, normal rats initially drank more drug solution per day than previously consumed water. The drug solution quickly became aversive to normal rats as daily intake decreased. Tolerance to the anorexic effect of d-amphetam
