Eines der letzten noch unbekannten Metallocene, das Aluminocenium‐Ion [Al(η^5^‐C~5~H~5~)~2~]^+^ 1, wurde durch Umsetzung von [AlCp~2~Me] mit B(C~6~F~5~)~3~ leicht zugänglich und ließ sich spektroskopisch charakterisieren. Der Komplex ist ein hocheffizienter Initiator für die carbokationische Polymer
